visual experiments
my recent installations are a series of visual experiments that explore some of our collective concepts and constructs with the hope to perhaps offer alternative suggestions to thoughts, customs, and beliefs that shape our communities. i understand my work to serve as a facilitator for examining some of our long-held ideas.
the interactive character of my installations invites a dialogue about how to regain balance in our interactions with each other. by creating a space that facilitates an interweave between nature and culture, i encourage, cultivate, and tend to this symbiotic relationship; together we affirm the reciprocity that must take place naturally for a balanced environment.
